otorius was founded in Fucecchio (Florence) in the 1960s from the intuition of Arrigo Micheletti and a deep passion for craftsmanship and fashion.

We are located in the heart of a territory that symbolizes Made in Italy, known worldwide for leather craftsmanship, footwear production, textiles, and wool manufacturing.

This manufacturing district is a place where craftsmanship, technical expertise, and quality have been passed down through generations.

The Origins: From Excellence in Knitwear to Specialization

In 1976, Pier Tommaso Micheletti led a decisive transformation: the company evolved into a knitwear manufacturer, creating an innovative type of knitwear made with premium yarns and enriched with leather details and finishes.

Within a few years, Notorius distinguished itself in the production of exclusive garments, building a solid reputation based on reliability, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

The experience gained during this period still represents the foundation of our know-how today.

Evolution: Focus on Knit Accessories

In 2001 the company entered a new phase under the leadership of Marco Micheletti.

The production of knit garments was replaced by a clear strategic choice: to specialize exclusively in the creation of knit accessories.

This change was accompanied by a major technological upgrade of the machinery and a clear vision: concentrating expertise, creativity, and innovation on a segment capable of making a real difference in high-end fashion collections.

From classic to sporty, from essential to highly structured, the accessory became our distinctive language.
